In a recent Nature Communications publication, researchers at the University of Queensland demonstrate a new method, CAPTORs (control library adaptors), to control spike-ins in NGS experiments without overwhelming the samples. Using the SYNTAX System, the UQ team was able to quickly iterate CAPTORs designs to improve the accuracy and reliability of sequencing, enable interoperable comparisons between samples and laboratories, and support the increasing use of NGS for clinical diagnosis.
