Programming pH: New Technique Could Accelerate DNA Synthesis
Harvard, The Broad Institute, and DNA Script collaborated on this peer-reviewed research, "CMOS electrochemical pH localizer-imager," published recently in Science Advances. The paper describes the micro-manipulation of pH in aqueous media on a semiconductor chip that could lead to high-throughput Enzymatic DNA Synthesis, with applications from protein engineering and antibody screening to DNA data storage.
